It is no secret that Chicago is currently one of the cities that is experiencing extremely cold temperatures. As the weather reached negative temperatures, Vic Mensa has been doing his part to help out the homeless within the city.
According to Vibe, earlier this week Vic took to social media to announce that his foundation, “SaveMoneySaveLife” was accepting blankets, pillows, sleeping bags, food, and more to help those in need. He mentioned that he was partnering with Health Hood Chi to help save lives.
Vic said, “Chicago as you know, it’s cold as f**k right now. What you may not be thinking about is those who may not have a roof over their head to protect them from this weather. As the temperature drops to beneath thirty degrees in the next two days, people will die.”
In his video posted on Instagram, he urged his followers to donate and said the donations will be used to feed 50 people three meals a day, over the course of two days.
