Not only do they Milly Rock together—they also help underprivileged kids together! Power couple Steph and Ayesha Curry recently launched their Eat. Learn. Play. foundation to help out kids in the Bay Area in a positive way.
The charity seeks to unlock the potential of underprivileged kids through nutrition, education and physical activity. As reported by @Vibe, the foundation’s mission also hopes to end childhood hunger, ensure a sustainable way to access quality education and encourage healthy active lifestyles.
In a joint statement about their newly launched venture, Steph and Ayesha explained the importance of Eat. Learn. Play.:
“Children are our future and we are deeply dedicated to empowering them and opening doors for their futures. This organization is all about instilling ongoing tangible change for underprivileged children growing up in the Bay Area and beyond. As parents, we see a multitude of unique opportunities our kids have access to, and our hope is that Eat. Learn. Play. and the critical fundamental development tools it provides will positively impact children in our community to live out their dreams.”
The first annual event was fun for the whole family, as over 900 children from local Oakland Parks, Recreation and Youth Development’s Town Camps, were invited. Some of the note-worthy partnerships with Eat. Learn. Play. include the Golden State Warriors, Google, Under Armour, Chase and Kaiser Permanente.
