Roommates, you may be behind the counter now but you could be owning the place if you work hard enough! Never limit yourself because with hard work and determination you can definitely achieve your goals, just ask Ashley Lamothe. At age 26, she became one of the youngest franchise owners in Chick-Fil-A history. Now at age 33, she opened her second Chick-fil-A restaurant this week in downtown Los Angeles!
Ashley began working at Chick-Fil-A when she was 15 years old. She liked the job so much that when she went off to Spelman College, she got a job at the local Chick-Fil-A near campus as a director on the leadership team.
“At the time, I thought it was just a great job to have while pursuing my degree in theatre,” Lamothe said.
Her restaurant operator spoke to her one day about considering long-term goals with the company.
“I’d never considered it. Sometimes you just need someone to help you see your potential,” she said.
She ended up switching her major to economics and began studying to own her own Chick-fil-A, which she accomplished in 2011.
Fast forward to 2018, and the line was out the door at her newest establishment!
