#Roomies, a local New Yorker has raised over $25,000 for kids in #Harlem to go see #BlackPanther for free when it drops next month.
#FrederickJoseph’s original goal was to raise $10K on GoFundMe to send 300 kids from the #Harlem Boys & Girls Club but now that number has tripled thanks to donations from more than 500 people. He is also working on expanding the campaign into other cities.
Joseph, who is an activist and marketing director, told ABC News that it’s important for kids of color to see a strong, positive role model who looks like them.
