Colin Kaepernick has kept his word and has now reached the milestone of donating $1,000,000 to programs and organizations.
In the last round of $100,000 donations, Kaepernick decided to start his #10for10 campaign where he teamed up with his celebrity friends as they donated to the organizations of his or her choice.
For every $10,000 that was donated to these organizations over the course of 10 days, he matched those donations, giving each organization $20,000 each.
On Wednesday, Usher was the last celebrity to join the campaign, allowing Kaepernick to reach his million dollar goal, which he pledged to back in September 2016.
Kaepernick reflected on the journey and said:
