Big Sean is definitely here for community service! According to Hot New Hip Hop he donated $25k toward an initiative with the purpose to end homelessness at Wayne State University.
The Helping Individuals Go Higher (HIGH) program is devoted to eliminating college student homelessness. HIGH’s founder, Jacqueline Wilson said Sean’s donation will “provide short-term support to Wayne State students experiencing homelessness or precarious housing situations…With this gift, we will be able to help Wayne State students who are experiencing homelessness work toward a better future.”
He is funding his donation through his non-profit organization, The Sean Anderson Foundation, just one of his many efforts to give back. He launched SAF last year and then followed his service up with his 82k donation to the Flint crisis. Finally, before his Wayne State contribution, his most recent service project was his collaboration with Adidas to build a recording studio at Cass Technical High School, his alma mater.
