Looks like the Williams sisters have paved the way for another powerhouse tennis player on her way to the top! This weekend, 14-year-old tennis star Cori “Coco” Gauff became the youngest woman to win a junior title at the French Open in 24 years!
According to Tennis Magazine, the Florida native won in the all-American final with a 1-6, 6-3, 7-6 (1) victory against Caty McNally. Cori is now the youngest winner since Martina Hingis in 1994 and the fifth youngest French Open junior champion in history.
She’s been training with Serena Williams’ coach Patrick Mouratoglou since 2015.
At 14, Cori was also the youngest player in the singles draw. Congrats, girl!
