James Francis, 13, has been offered a scholarship to Eton College, which is one of the most expensive schools in Britain, located Windsor, Berkshire. The English boarding school that educates young men from the ages of 13 to 18 is often referred to as the “nurse of England’s statesmen.”
According to The Voice Newspaper, the school has recognized Francis for his outstanding musical talents. He currently plays the double bass, piano and is a chorister at the Westminster Abbey Choir School.
In recent years he has performed for Queen Elizabeth for various occasions, including her 90th birthday. As well as memorial services for Nelson Mandela and David Frost.
Francis talked about his acceptance into the school, “I’m very happy to be offered a scholarship at such a prestigious school. The atmosphere at Eton is very friendly and I like the way everything is run there. I can’t wait to start, but I’m still adjusting to what has happened to me.”
Although he is recognized as an outstanding musician, Francis is still undecided on his career path. Recent visits to the Houses of Parliament have triggered an interest in politics.
He will begin his studies at Eton in September on a £30,000 scholarship.
Congrats young man on all of your achievements.
