Pharrell Williams is known for breaking barriers when it comes to his music and fashion, and now he has a new milestone to add to the list.
According to Billboard, Pharrell is now the first male to ever star in a Chanel bag campaign.
Chanel released the official visuals for their Gabrielle Bag Campaign, where the superstar musician can be seen having a little fun in an empty concert venue while sporting the bag.
The partnership between Chanel and Pharrell was announced back in March after he was seen walking in their Metiers d’Art runway show in Paris in December.
Last month Chancel exclusively unveiled the collection to Women’s Wear Daily, where the creative director Karl Lagerfeld said he wanted to show that the bag can be worn in “many different circumstances.”
Lagerfeld continued to point out that the bag can be used for both sexes, he said, “It’s not very feminine in the sense of being chichi.”
