That karma, chile! It hits a little differently when you’re doing something you know you’re not supposed to be doing involving your ex.
A man in northern Mexico got trapped in a tunnel that he dug under his ex-wife’s house to spy on her. This story is the definition of “that’s what you get” type consequences.
He had to be rescued after he accidentally trapped himself in the hole that he dug, which he used to spy on his former girlfriend. By doing so, authorities said he was also violating a court order to stay away from her, according to @nypost.
The Sonora state attorney general’s office said that the 50-year-old man had spent days digging the hole in Puerto Penasco, a town on the Gulf of California, only to then become trapped. He required assistance from medical responders to get out.
The man had been ordered to stay away from his former girlfriend due to domestic violence charges and he has now been locked up because of that, authorities said.
The newspaper El Universal said the man dug a tunnel under the woman’s home. The newspaper said that the woman told police that over the course of a week, she had heard scratching noises but assumed the noises were coming from cats.
But when the sound grew louder, she investigated and found her former boyfriend of 14 years trapped below, the report said. She said she ended the relationship because her ex was very jealous.
Police added that the man appeared to be intoxicated and severely dehydrated once they were able to get him out of the tunnel.
Jealousy can drive people to do some crazy things Roommates but ultimately this man just needed to leave his former girlfriend alone. Cyber stalking an ex is one thing, but full on digging a hole to spy takes things to an unhealthy level.
Stay here for the latest, Roommates.
