Roomies,
Tekashi 69’s attempt to give a donation to those in need has been declined by the No Kid Hungry Foundation.
According to
Complex, the spokesperson for the foundation, Laura Washburn, stated, “We are grateful for Mr. Hernandez’s generous offer to donate to No Kid Hungry but we have informed his representatives that we have declined this donation,” Washburn said. “As a child-focused campaign, it is our policy to decline funding from donors whose activities do not align with our mission and values.”
The rapper initially recognized those in the healthcare industry that are on the frontlines, but made it clear that we cannot forget the kids. “During this pandemic I understand we have nurses and frontline Hero’s who risk their life daily to save others. But NEVER forget the children & families who depend on OUR PUBLIC schools for daily meals and nutritions to keep our future leaders growing to their best potential,” he stated on Instagram. To every influencer out there REMEMBER if you are blessed GOD gave you that blessing not just for YOU but also TO HELP OTHERS
GOD FIRST.”
This comes days after Tekashi 69 took over the interwebs with his video release, record-breaking Instagram Live with 2M people tuned in, and days of trolling.
As y’all already know, he was recently released from prison and is now under house arrest, after cooperating with the Feds and putting away members of the Treyway Gang for a combined total of over 100 years, according to reports.
Since his release artists from Meek Mill to Gucci Mane have publicly stated that the going against the “street code” is a no-go.
