Roommates, we hope y’all are ready for even more Chris Brown bops because he has just announced his third number one album is going to be extended!
Chris Brown’s ‘Indigo’ album was released back in June, and has spent the last 10 weeks in the number one spot on Billboard’s R&B Albums chart.
The album is already 32 songs long, adding up to a total of 2 hours and 4 minutes of song play. Chris says the extended version is set for release on October 4th.
‘Indigo’ is Chris’ second longest album, coming right after ‘Heartbreak On A Full Moon’, which has a total of 45 tracks. The extended version, however, features 57 songs, totaling 3 hours and 18 minutes worth of music!
An announcement of Breezy dropping new music is usually a source of excitement, but it looks like y’all are having some mixed feelings, Roomies.
Some folks are preparing to get into their emotional bags, as ‘Indigo’ is already an emotional roller coaster. But some are just not here for anymore Chris content, and say they’re still trying to digest the beast of a project he’s already given us.
“I still haven’t finished the original version,” one commenter says. “We gon’ be listening until SUMMER, he can keep IT!”
Some Roommates are commending Chris for being able to put out a large quantity of music, while simultaneously putting out songs of quality!
“This man works harder than any other artist,” a Roommate said. “Say what you want but you can’t say he doesn’t work hard.”
Recently, Chris’ album was under fire after he made a comment regarding the type of black women he prefers on ‘Need A Stack’.
Chris’ controversial line “Only f*ck with black b**ches with the nice hair” put social media into a frenzy, claiming he was continuing a narrative about black women having to have a specific hair texture in order for it to be considered desirable.
Nevertheless, Chris’ album sales have no faltered, as ‘Indigo’ still sits in the number one spot. Will y’all be listening to the extended version Roomies?
