Even though our beloved, Paul Walker, is no longer here with us, he has definitely left behind a great legacy.
One of the legacies that he left behind was his 16-year-old daughter. Meadow Walker remembered her father on what would be his 42nd birthday by announcing the official launch of The Paul Walker Foundation in his honor!
Meadow took to Instagram earlier today and broke down her reasons for starting the foundation:
“Reflecting on my father, I found myself reflecting on his passions. His passion for the ocean, his passion for rescuing animals, his passion for helping people and his passion for spontaneous goodwill. I wanted to start this foundation because I want to share that piece of him with the world. I want to share that part of him with others. I am tremendously proud to be launching The #PaulWalkerFoundation (@paulwalkerfdn) on his birthday. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate my father. #DoGood”.
This is the second charity in Walker’s name after he founded Reach Out Worldwide in 2010. According to Vibe, “Walker co-founded Reach Out Worldwide in 2010 in an effort to help communities cope with post-disaster restoration, including those in Haiti, Alaska, the Philippines, Chile and Nepal.” His daughter’s organization will focus more on conserving the world’s oceans by giving scholarships to students “pursuing degrees in marine studies”.
What a brave young lady! You can venture over to the link below if you’d like to know more about the Paul Walker Foundation!
