Earlier today, rumors starting circulating on social media that Chicago rapper Lil Durk cheated on his girlfriend of nearly 3 years, India Royale, and fathered a child outside of their relationship. TSR Exclusively spoke to a source close to the couple that shut down all claims that Durk cheated on India. The couple shares a daughter, Willow, who just turned 2 in October, in addition to Durk’s other children.
The source acknowledged that Durk does have a 4-year-old daughter who was conceived somewhere around October 2016 but denies that he cheated on India when that child was conceived.
The source also provided details that Durk wasn’t in a relationship with that child’s mother. With Durk being single at the time, the source broke down the timeline on when he started dating India. They met in March of 2017, and says India was aware of the woman’s pregnancy.
The source claims that India wasn’t ready for a relationship and didn’t think that Durk was ready either. They continued, saying that India didn’t take the situation seriously because he’s a rapper. She was working and focusing on school at the time. However, the couple did end up making their relationship official at the end of 2017.
We reported earlier that India did respond to a commenter on Twitter who fed into the cheating allegations. The commenter said, “Cheating a deal-breaker? But India, Durk cheats on you every day….” India responded, “With who?”
She also continued to tweet, “People be like be, quiet before you get what you are looking for. The only way I can get it is if he cheating. I can’t speak him cheating into existence. Those are his actions. So if somebody got something to say, they can say it. I’m not afraid to be by myself. That’s a fact.”
