Tristan Thompson To Reportedly Pay Maralee Nichols $9,500 In Monthly Child Support For Their Son

Tristan Thompson and Maralee Nichols have reportedly reached an agreement when it comes to their one-year-old son Theo.

According to TMZ, the settlement will be filed today in the L.A. County Superior Court. Per the terms, Tristan will allegedly pay $9,500 a month in child support. He also partially covered Maralee’s legal fees.

Tristan will reportedly be listed as Theo’s father on his birth certificate. Nichols will retain sole custody, but the pair will reportedly work on an official visitation plan soon, per TMZ’s sources.

Maralee recently shared photos of Theo’s ‘Winter ONEderland’ birthday celebration. Tristan, who hasn’t publicly commented on his second son since confirming the DNA results in January, didn’t appear in any of the photos shared.

The mother of one also shared a heartfelt birthday message for their son on her Instagram page. While Tristan has posted photos of his eldest son with Jordan Craig and daughter with Khloé, there are no photos of his infants with Maralee or Khloé.

Rundown On Maralee & Tristan’s History

You’ll recall Maralee first publicly entered the picture last December when she filed a paternity lawsuit against Tristan. The suit was a bombshell. It revealed they conceived the child in March 2021– days after his then-girlfriend Khloé Kardashian hosted his 30th birthday party.

The public didn’t know this at the time, but when The Daily Mail revealed the lawsuit, Khloe and Tristan had just moved forward with conceiving their second child via surrogate. Her discovery of Tristan’s secret child was documented in their Hulu series, The Kardashians.

After the lawsuit commanded media headlines, she opened up to E! News about her connection to Thompson. She denied leaking the lawsuit to the press and revealed she met the athlete in 2020 at a party in his home. Tristan had previously claimed, in his own lawsuit against Nichols, that they were only intimate in March 2021 in Houston. However, Maralee said that Houston night was “one of the many nights” they spent together.

Maralee Accuses Thompson Of Making No Attempt To Meet Theo Or Provide Financially

At the top of 2022, Tristan publicly acknowledged the positive paternity results. He took “full responsibility for [his] actions” before saying he was looking forward to “amicably raising” Theo.

Soon after, Maralee released a statement to Page Six via her publicist. She said, “there was never really any don’t that Tristan Thompson was the father.” She also made it clear that she hadn’t forgotten about Thompson’s “false and defamatory statements” about her during their legal battle.

In the same pappy results announcement, Thompson apologized to Khloé, saying she doesn’t deserve the “heartache and humiliation” or “treatment” he subjected her throughout their relationship–including a separate cheating scandal while Khloé was pregnant.

More than a month after publicly claiming his son, Maralee accused the NBA player of breaking promises.

“Despite news reports stating otherwise, Tristan Thompson has done nothing to support his son,” a statement shared with Page Six said. “He has not made any attempt to meet their son, nor has he provided any financial assistance.”

By March, she reportedly filed legal documents seeking at least $47,424 in monthly child support, which was based on his monthly income at the time, allegelly exceeding $800,000.

Per this recent report, Maralee ended up with considerly less because Thompson isn’t currently on a team and actively eanring that hefty income.

As for his relationship with Khloé, it seems to be restricted to co-parenting their two children. They welcomed their first son together in August, but they have yet to reveal the child’s face.

Khloé and sister Kourtney Kardashian recently took Vanity Fair’s lie detector test. At one point, Kourtney asked “are you sleeping with Tristan” and she responded, “no, I am not, I’m really not.”
