It’s never too late to give someone their flowers. This Women’s History Month has been one to remember, and it’s not over yet! Trina, who has been in the game for over 20 years and is still a force to be reckoned with, continued to make headlines. Just off the heels of celebrating the 21st anniversary of her debut album “Da Baddest Bi***,” she appeared on an episode of “Hood Rich Radio” with DJ Scream and had quite an interesting conversation about “Verzuz.”
DJ Scream asked Trina who she thought would be good to go against her in a Verzuz battle. He broke down the females who he listened to in the South, which included her, Mia X, and Gangsta Boo, then he suggested her to go against the Queen Bee, Lil’ Kim.
Trina quickly responded, loving the suggestion. “I love that. I said that I honestly said “Kim Or Eve,” Trina said. “I feel like Kim is more balanced.” Scream commented on the fact that Trina and Kim’s musical content is similar. Trina continued, “Kim is that bi**h let’s be very clear. When I came into the industry, this (Kim) is who I looked up to. These are the lyrics that I recited. This is what made me know that it was ok to talk that lethal s**t and these ni***s are not s**t.”
They both agreed that it wouldn’t feel like a competition, and Trina said it would be more of a family thing. As of right now, Trina did confirm that nobody has reached out to her about setting up an official Verzuz, but many Roommates did share their opinion about the topic. Some of them said Lil’ Kim would be better going up against Foxy Brown.
