Travis Scott Opens Up About Raising Stormi To Be “Strong” & The Importance Of Protecting Black Women

Roommates, one of your favorite star-studded babies, Stormi Webster, might have been born into money, but she is still a little black girl in America, and that’s something her daddy, Travis Scott does not want her to forget.

While speaking with .WAV radio, Travis opens up about how he plans to raise his daughter to be a strong young woman, and to be mindful of her power as a Black woman in a time where we are at the forefront of the fight against systemic racism. He also says he wants Stormi to know that she is capable of doing “anything a man can do.”

“I feel like it’s way more important now to protect our young Black daughters, women,” he says. “Making sure they have the knowledge of just how to carry yourself, how to move in this world, how to be strong, how not to be scared to take that risk on any idea.”

He continued saying: “Now, more than ever, it’s like they have the vision. Whether it’s for anything a man can do, anything a woman can do. They got the pure vision. You know what I’m saying? So it’s just all about that.”

Travis has been pretty candid about his intentions behind keeping Stormi abreast to what is going on in the world, and giving her knowledge, even at this young age.

“It’s just amazing to watch my daughter grow,” he previously told GQ. “I’m keeping her aware of what’s going on in the world.  As a parent, I’m always instilling knowledge.”

As we previously reported, Travis and Kylie split last October, and have been working on an amicable relationship for raising Stormi. Although they never officially spilled the tea about why they broke up, Travis previously shut down rumors about cheating being an issue in their relationship.

Nevertheless, we’ve seen Kylie and Travis together as a family on the ‘gram many times, and it seems like all is well in Calabasas!
