Wayment! The celebrity-adjacent arrests are pouring in this week, from Justin Timberlake to Remy Ma’s 23-year-old son. Rapper Travis Scott is the latest to get caught up with the law after Miami-Dade County cops jailed him on Thursday (June 20).
According to NBC, the 33-year-old rapper picked up a disorderly intoxication charge. Police records claim Travis was yelling at people while yachting in Miami Beach, per a witness who called the police. Additionally, records show Scott trespassed the property after a warning.
Cops reportedly booked him into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center at around 4:30 a.m. local time. He allegedly had a “strong smell of alcohol” on his “breath” when cops arrived on the scene.
Travis Scott had reportedly agreed to leave the yacht. However, as he walked the dock, he “walked backward yelling obscenities to the occupants of the vessel” until he left the marina.
About five minutes later, he started making his way back to the yacht. While speaking to the same sergeant he had earlier, he became “erratic,” which disturbed the peace in the marina and nearby residential buildings. Cops took him into custody at around 1:17 a.m., and Scott admitted to consuming alcohol.

Scott has since submitted a bond of $650, per NBC News, and his release should be happening soon. According to his Instagram Story, though, he might already be free. As of an hour ago (11 a.m. ET), the rapper’s Instagram Story had a new post featuring an altered version of his mugshot. See it below.
This arrest incident comes almost a month after social media speculated that he and Tyga were throwing hands at the Cannes Film Festival. Tyga went on to dispute the claims with a fresh-faced selfie video, but Travis Scott never spoke on the allegations.
Other reports, particularly TMZ, have since claimed that the tussle was between each rapper’s crew members, but again, confirmation from their camps never made it to the public eye.
Instead, the outlet has reported that Cher’s current man and Amber Rose’s ex, Alexander ‘AE’ Edwards, and Yung Miami’s daughter’s father, Southside, were involved.
Meanwhile, as mentioned above, Justin Timberlake collected a similar charge to Travis Scott. Sag Harbor officials charged the ‘Mirrors’ singer with one count of driving while intoxicated (DWI) and cited him for running a stop sign and failing to stay in his lane.
He’s expected to return to court on July 26, though his lawyer told TMZ they plan to “vigorously” fight the “allegations.” “He will have a lot to say at the appropriate time,” attorney Edward Burke Jr. told TMZ amid his client’s public silence.
As for Remy Ma’s 23-year-old son JaySon Scott, he’s facing much more serious charges of first and second-degree murder. After his arrest on June 18 for the 2021 fatal shooting, Remy spoke out, proclaiming his innocence.
