It looks like Tracee Ellis Ross is continuing to build her relationship with ABC as she has just signed an overall deal with ABC Signature. As many of you already know, she already stars on the network as a cast member of the hit series, “Black-ish,” and she is also the creator and producer of its prequel “Mixed-ish.”
According to Deadline, under the deal, Tracee’s production company Joy Mill Entertainment will produce content across all platforms, and will also be based at the studio.
Tracee expressed her excitement for the deal and said, “I love sharing stories and using storytelling as a way to connect and celebrate humanity. As an actor, I’ve had the joy of inhabiting nuanced and dynamic roles. As an executive producer, I am able to build stories, gather creatives, and shape worlds as a way to illuminate different realities. This deal continues my journey as a storyteller and content creator. I am thrilled to finally be sharing the news and expanding this part of my artistry at my home studio, ABC Signature. Jonnie Davis, Tracy Underwood, and their team have been incredible collaborators, and I am eager to continue our shared journey.”
Tracee currently stars on the show “Black-ish,” alongside, Anthony Anderson, Jenifer Lewis, Laurence Fishburne, Marsai Martin, Yara Shahidi, Marcus Scribner, and Miles Brown.
Recently it was announced that ABC is currently developing another spinoff of “Black-ish called,” “Old-ish” starring Lawrence and Fishburne. That show will be the 3rd spinoff to come from the hit series.
