Toya Johnson Announces Her Fiancé Robert Rushing Has Been Diagnosed With COVID-19—“Get Well My Love”

Roommates, sadly another celebrity has just been diagnosed with COVID-19, as Toya Johnson just confirmed that her fiancé Robert Rushing tested positive for the virus. On what was to be his birthday celebration, Toya revealed on social media that Robert would instead be recovering from his symptoms after contracting COVID-19.

Toya Johnson was supposed to be celebrating her soon-to-be husband Robert Rushing’s 40th birthday—however, those plans will definitely have to wait after she confirmed on Instagram that he had indeed contracted COVID-19.

Toya isn’t alone in dealing with a COVID-19 diagnosis that hits close to home, as many were shocked (and also disappointed) when Ashanti recently announced that she also tested positive for the virus—and as a result had to postpone her highly-anticipated Verzuz battle against Keyshia Cole.

Ashanti, who revealed she contracted COVID-19 after hugging a family member that she didn’t know had it, provided fans with an update that she will be doing everything she can to make sure that she is healthy and ready to go when she and Keyshia face off on January 19th.

As for Toya, she just celebrated her daughter’s Reginae Carter’s birthday with a star-studded Atlanta bash that was attended by some of the biggest stars in the music industry, including her ex and Reginae’s dad, Lil Wayne.
