Tory Lanez Taps In With Adin Ross From Behind Bars

Over the weekend, Lanez appeared as a guest on Adin Ross’ latest livestream, which was shared via YouTube. To note, the rapper made his appearance via a phone call. Nonetheless, he appeared to be in good spirits.

“I’m great,” Lanez told Ross about two minutes into the stream. “I know that a lot of people, sometimes, when they hear prison or when they hear somebody’s like down, they think like [they’re] in the corner bawling their eyes out.”

Instead, Lanez explained that he’s been doing “really good” and he’s in a “great place mentally.”

“I’m looking better than I’ve ever looked. I’m working out — I’m really just bettering myself in every single way.”

The Singer Reveals THIS Major Update From Behind Bars

As the conversation continued, Lanez revealed that he had “just graduated high school.” Additionally, he shared another major accomplishment.

“I just graduated high school, by the way [and] enrolled in college, you feel me,” he said. “I never thought I’d do that, but I’m taking this moment and taking advantage of everything that’s good.”

Lanez explained that “it’s the small things” that have him feeling “good about life” currently.

Tory Lanez Opened Up About Mastering THIS While Incarcerated

As the conversation continued, Ross questioned Lanez about how he was able to recently release high-quality music from behind bars. As The Shade Room previously reported, Lanez prepared fans for his latest release in late July. At the time, he explained that he and his produced figured out how to record music “over the jail phone.”

“I genuinely took mad time and I f****d up mad times [and] I did a lot of s**t to kind of like, learn how to do this,” he explained. “…And me and my engineer… took time to figure out the best way to put this s**t together.”

Lanez explained that, over time, the quality of his audio started “getting better and better.” However, he and his team remained committed to adding new elements to enhance their audio further.

“And eventually, it just came out exactly how we wanted it,” he said.

Ultimately, the singer called his and his team’s actions “revolutionary,” as he said, “no one has ever done this” before.

“Usually, when n***s go to jail, it’s over — it’s clipped. But… I can record from here, and it literally sounds like my s**t on the street, like yo, it’s over. I’m not gonna stop dropping.”

Before concluding on the topic, Lanez explained he believes he won’t be in prison for much longer, so before he’s released, he’s striving to leave his “mark” on prison.
