Tory Lanez’s legal woes continue! The ‘Sex Songs’ rapper has reportedly been remanded to his home after a judge ruled that he violated the terms of his bail.
According to TMZ, a Los Angeles judge made the ruling on Wednesday during a hearing Tory attended in relation to his assault case involving Megan Thee Stallion. Tory was released from police custody on bail back in April, and was ordered to stay 100 yards away from Meg. He was also ordered to stay out of any legal trouble.
Tory Lanez reportedly violated those terms when he allegedly attacked August Alsina in early September. Deputy District Attorney Alexander Bott urged the judge to order Lanez into custody without bail until the start of his trial.
CBS News reports the prosector believes Tory has “shown such a flagrant disregard for the court’s orders,” despite his lawyer arguing that there is no evidence that the incident with R&B singer August Alsina even occurred.
As we previously reported, August took to Instagram to accuse Tory of attacking him in early September. Along with photos of his bloody face, August Alsina wrote a lengthy message about his run in with the rapper during the Fall Back In Love Comedy & Music Jam tour.
According to August’s account, he and Tory had a misunderstanding over a handshake, which led to a brutal beat down.
As I’m exiting the building after the show last night, A 4’11 sized leprechaun ran down on me w/ 8 oversized security n–s, whom I greeted each individually upon their walk up as they tried to press me. Whole time, I’m one deep. No security,” August wrote in his caption.”Tory continues to ask w/ a broken ego why I didn’t dap him up, I go on to tell him.. I was a fan of him and didn’t understand him speaking on my business publicly In the past, because I don’t know him or ever met him until last night. So when he spoke it caught me off guard because of his past actions, I assumed he didn’t like me, that’s all.”
After video footage of August and Tory’s run-in surfaced online, the Los Angele DA’s office launched an investigation into the incident.
Tory will now be on house arrest until Nov. 28th.
