Thirty-year-old singer Tori Kelly has reportedly been hospitalized due to blood clots around her major organs. According to TMZ, an unnamed source has informed the outlet that Kelly’s condition is “really serious.”
According to the outlet, the singer was out to dinner with friends Sunday night when her heart began to beat extremely fast. Kelly then became unconscious and was “out for a while.”
The singer’s friends then transported her to Cedars-Sinai Hospital to ensure she received the best medical care in response to her condition.
Additionally, the source revealed that the singer had been placed in the ICU. Doctors have reportedly discovered blood clots around her lungs and legs.
Furthermore, they are now working to determine if she has any blood clots present near her heart.
Lastly, the source revealed that Kelly has been “in and out” of consciousness during her hospitalization.
News of Kelly’s hospitalization became public Monday evening, but the singer’s husband, Andre Murillo, did not initially comment on her condition.
However, early Tuesday morning, Murillo took to his Instagram Story and shared a clip of Kelly’s verse on Justin Bieber’s “Where Do I Fit In.” While the lyrics Kelly sings touch on fear, they also touch on the feeling of support.
“When I’m all alone and fear is all I see / Sitting in the silence with these insecurities / It’s then you remind me, you’re holding me tight / And you love me completely, you’re always by my side”
According to Page Six, neither representatives for Kelly nor Murillo have shared a comment with the outlet.
According to Page Six, Kelly rose to public prominence as a contestant on season nine of ‘American Idol.’ In 2015, she released her debut album, ‘Unbreakable Smile,” which featured her hit singles “Nobody Love” and “Should’ve Been Us.”
In 2019, Kelly took home Grammys for Best Gospel Album and Best Gospel Performance/Song, as per TMZ. However, she would take a step from music in the following years.
Earlier this year, Kely debuted her latest single, “missin u,” and is set to release a new EP, ‘Tori,’ on July 28.
