Last night one of the biggest nights in music went down, and like always we look forward to the moments that will keep us talking years from now.
With millions of people watching from all over the world, we all got to see some of our favorite artists hit the stage. We also got to see some of our favorite artists win big, and even get subbed.
Check out our top moments from the 59th Annual Grammy Awards:
1: Beyoncé Performs “Love Drought,” and “Sandcastles
Hands down Queen Bey stole the show when she hit the stage. After announcing that she was pregnant with twins we all wondered if her Grammy performance would be cancelled. Nonetheless, it was confirmed that Beyoncé was scheduled to hit the stage and we anticipated how she was about to slay our lives. Celebrating womanhood and motherhood, she serenaded the audience with her singles “Love Drought,” and “Sandcastles” from her album Lemonade. She even walked away with the Grammy’s for Best Urban Contemporary Album, and Best Music Video.
2: Chance The Rapper Wins Big & Performs On The Grammy Stage
Chance The Rapper definitely had one hell of a night, as he walked away with three of the seven awards he was nominated for. He took home the Grammy’s for Best New Artist, Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Album. He even took us all to church with his performance, as Francis and the Lights, Tamela Mann and Kirk Franklin joined him on stage for a medley of “How Great,” and “All We Got.” His winnings will definitely go down in Grammy history as this year was the first year they allowed albums released via streaming services to be eligible for nominations.
3: The Time & Bruno Mars Special Tribute To Prince
If there was any presence that was missed during last night’s show it was definitely Prince. Sadly the iconic singer passed away back in April of 2016, but the Grammy’s made it their duty to honor the great one. They started off the tribute with Morris Day and The Time, who were close collaborators of Prince during the 1980’s. Not to mention both Prince and Morris Day got their start together back in high school. Following their performance, Bruno Mars took center stage in his Prince apparel to honor him by performing, “Let’s Go Crazy.”

4: A Tribe Called Quest Performs ft. Anderson .Paak & Busta Rhymes
Legendary hip-hop group A Tribe Called Quest hit the Grammy stage with a strong message. They had Anderson .Paak and Busta Rhymes join them on stage for “We Are The People,” and even threw some shots towards “President Agent Orange,” a.k.a. Donald Trump. And of course you know they had to honor their late member Phife Dawg.
5: Adele Restarts Her Tribute To George Michael & Wins Album of The Year…And Stans For Beyoncé During Her Speech
Last night Adele was tapped to honor the late George Michael. She performed “Fast Love,” but had a little hiccup. Realizing she started on the wrong key, she stopped the performance live on television and restarted, to honor George Michael in the right way. And like always, Adele absolutely killed her performance.
Adele also took home the biggest award of the night, “Album of the Year.” She definitely had one hell of a year making her return with 25, and obviously the recording academy thought so as well. However, an emotional Adele couldn’t help but thank Beyoncé for her chart-topping album Lemonade. She talked about what the project meant to her as someone who is also a mother, and seemed to be at a little disbelief to see her album win over Beyoncé’s. Bringing Beyoncé to tears, it’s great to see two women in music show major support to one another.

6: Rihanna Took Home 0/7 of the Grammy’s She Was Nominated For
Many of us thought that Rih Rih would definitely walk away with at least one award after releasing her 8th studio album Anti. To our surprise Rihanna didn’t walk away with any Grammy Awards. Nonetheless, she seemed to be enjoying herself as she continued to sip from her blinged out flask throughout the night.
7: CeeLo Green Shows Up As His New Alter Ego
CeeLo Green unveiled his new alter ego “Gnarly Davidson” on the carpet, and in true millennial fashion he quickly became a meme on social media.
Roommates what were your favorite moments from this years show?
