Super Bowl 2020 may officially be over, but Republican political host Tomi Lahren is still in her feelings about what happened during the game—and it’s all because of Beyoncé and Jay Z. Tomi took to Twitter to call the couple out for their joint refusal to stand for the national anthem.
Beyoncé and Jay Z made their presence felt at Super Bowl 2020, however the one part of the game their were not in agreeance with was standing during the national anthem. They chose not to stand during the song—and Tomi Lahren had an absolute fit about it.
She promptly took to her Twitter account and let them know her thoughts:
“Beyoncé & Jay-Z (former crack dealer) sit for the national anthem because apparently the United States of America has oppressed them with millions upon millions of dollars & fans. Sounds rough. Maybe they should try another country that allows them a little more freedom & success?”
Tomi continued, following up with even more harsh words:
“You hate police, Donald Trump, and the spirit of this nation so much you can’t pick your privileged asses off the chair for 2 mins to pay some respect? Despicable.”
As expected, as soon as she posted her tweets, social media was all over her and she suffered an immense backlash. However, if you know anything about Tomi Lahren, then you know that backlash equals attention—and that’s all she ever really wants in the first place.
Roommates, what are your thoughts on this?
