Before concluding her thoughts on the matter, Tinashe explained that “it’s all love.” Furthermore, she explained that she’s “trying to be positive” and “move onto bigger things.”

More Details Regarding Tinashe’s Initial Comments & Shared Responses
As The Shade Room previously reported, Tinashe appeared as a recent guest on an episode of the ‘Zach Sang Show.’ During the conversation, the now-independent artist reflected on formerly being signed with RCA Records.
Additionally, Tinashe seemingly explained that she felt pressured by the label to work with certain artists in hopes that it would boost her up-and-coming career.
While speaking on her 2015 single collaboration with R. Kelly, Tinashe explained that she “literally” blocks out the song from her mind.
“You think I wanted — I literally… block out that R. Kelly song from my mind. I forget that that even exists,” she explained. “That is so embarrassing. That is so unreal that I even have a song with R. Kelly.”
While speaking on her 2015 single with Brown, the singer alleged that RCA wanted the single to be a “big moment.” However, she seemingly added that she couldn’t understand why they chose Brown for her to collaborate with.
“So I feel like in their mind,” Tinashe explained, referring to her former music label, RCA. “They were like, ‘You need this support.’ And he was like their biggest artist they had on rhythmic radio at the time. And to me, it was like, ‘Well, this is a pop song, so I really don’t feel like we should put Chris on it… that doesn’t compute to me.’ But I don’t know…”
Additionally, we should note that Brown and R. Kelly each faced separate legal troubles. As per PEOPLE, Brown pleaded guilty to a felony charge after physically assaulting his then-girlfriend, Rihanna, in 2009. As reported by The Shade Room, R. Kelly is incarcerated after being convicted of sex trafficking and racketeering charges in September 2021.
While reflecting on the collaborations, Tinashe said that she was “thankful” for them and that the experience of collaborating with each artist was “fully bad.”
However, shortly after the interview went public, Chris Brown shared his reaction to Tinashe’s comments.
“NAME 5 TINASHE songs or die…. EVERYBODY DEAD…”
Additionally, Joyner Lucas even chimed in defending Brown.
