On Tuesday, Tim Norman officially entered a not guilty plea after he was accused of being an alleged co-conspirator in a murder-for-plot, which led to the death of his nephew Andre Montgomery.
According to WLBT, Tim pleaded not guilty to federal charges alleging he was involved in the incident, which led to the 2016 shooting death of Andre, who was his nephew, and also the grandson of Robbie Montgomery, who is the owner of the St. Louis soul food restaurant Sweetie Pies. The famed restaurant had its own show on the OWN network, which ran for a total of five seasons.
As previously reported, Tim and his alleged co-conspirator, Terica Ellis, were arrested back in August.
It was also revealed Tim became the sole beneficiary of his nephew’s life insurance policy two years prior to his death. As mentioned before federal documents stated that Norman allegedly waited no more than a week to try and collect on the $450,000 policy he took out on his nephew two years prior.
Many people have shared their opinions about the whole situation after learning of Tim’s arrest.
Jennifer Williams, who is the ex-girlfriend of Tim, briefly clapped back at her former “Basketball Wives” co-star Tami Roman after she joked about the matter in one of the “Bonnet Chronicles” videos.
At the time, Jennifer told Page Six, “I don’t talk to Tami and I don’t know why she is making fun of a horrific situation where a life was lost. Tami is classless, and it was done in poor taste while a family is trying to come to terms with the ultimate betrayal from one of their own. That’s all I have to say about Tami’s tacky ass… With everything going on in the world and the climate within the Black community, I’m saddened a Black woman is tearing another one down.”
“Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s” aired its final episode back in June 2018.
