TSR Throwbackz: Now y’all know “Sister, Sister” is one of those classic gems we just could not get enough of back in the day! And while so many of our favorite shows are being rebooted, we haven’t seen anything from the twin sisters and their adopted parents.
Well, it looks like we finally have an answer why. Tia Mowry joined Tamron Hall on her show to talk everything from motherhood, to twin life, and of course, we had to know why a “Sister, Sister” reboot hasn’t hit our screens yet.
Tia says although Tamera, the other cast members, and herself would love to bring the idea to life, some legal troubles got in the way of that.
“So many people are asking this question, and we tried,” she said. “Some rights and stuff got in the way. The legalities stopped it and it makes me sad.”
Back in 2019, it was also announced that Tia would star in a reboot of her hit show “The Game” where she played Melanie; a med-school student and girlfriend of a professional athlete. Unfortunately, that reboot won’t be happening either.
She says it seems like reboots just aren’t in the cards for her.
“We even tried to reboot ‘The Game’ and that’s not happening,” she said. “I’m sorry! I just think that reboots aren’t in my DNA I guess.”
Would y’all be here for a reboot of the twins, Roomies? Let us know in the comments!
