Many of you may be familiar with Niles Fitch from his role as the teenage version of Randall Pearson on NBC’s hit series “This Is Us.” Niles now has a new role, and with this role, he is breaking down barriers and making Disney history.
Niles has been cast in Disney+’s upcoming sci-fi fantasy film “Secret Society of Second-Born Royals.” Niles is set to play the role of Prince Tuma, who is described as “charismatic and self-centered.”
He took to social media to share some first look photos from the film, as he expressed his excitement for the news. “Welcome Disney’s first Black prince,” said Niles.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the synopsis of the film reveals that the film will follow, “Sam ( Peyton Elizabeth Lee) a rebellious teen living in the kingdom of Illyria — and in the shadow of her older sister Princess Eleanor (Ashley Liao) who is next in line for the throne. Sam has always felt like not only is she second born, but she is also second best. She is struggling to find where she can shine and where she belongs. But Sam soon finds out that being a second-born royal has its own perks. Not only does the birth order mean she scores superpowers, but she’s also drafted into a top-secret group of other gifted young recruits who are charged with keeping the world safe.”
“Secret Society of Second-Born Royals,” is scheduled to be released on Disney+ this summer.
