Roommates, The Shade Room was in the building for the Essence Festival this holiday weekend and we had a blast! We caught up with some of your favorite celebrities such as the legendary Sheryl Lee Ralph, Miss Tina Lawson and Oprah Winfrey!!! Our edges may not ever come back and we’re fine with that!
Speaking of Oprah, she and Ava DuVernay have been working on a new show together called Queen Sugar and we were invited to the screening. Let me tell you, this show is amazing! If you’re fans of Ava DuVernay, then you know to expect the drama! Not only was the writing phenomenal, but the cast is comprised of a group of very attractive men and women from all walks of life. In short, there is some eye candy for everyone so be on the lookout for Queen Sugar! It premieres September 6th and 7th on OWN!
Now, we know you guys get your lives from all of the celebrities that get to step into The Shade Room, so we made a video of the entertainers who wanted to say hey and fill you in on what they’re up to. Sheryl Lee Ralph in particular got her life from all of the love you guys showed her on her video with Trina and Traci Braxton. Roland Martin from TV One photo bombed Eric Benét’s moment with us, but we got it all on video.
