The award season is far from over, and the next award show fans have to look forward to is none other than the 69th Annual Emmy Awards!
On Thursday, Anna Clumsky, Shemar Moore, and Television Academy CEO Hayma Washington announced the honorees for this year’s award show.
One fan favorite that earned multiple nominations is none other than the FX hit series “Atlanta,” created by Donald Glover. The show will face off with others in the category for Comedy Series, and Donald Glover has snagged nominations for Comedy Actor, Writing for a Comedy Series, and Directing for a Comedy Series.
Another favorite that has earned yet another nomination since starting back in 2014 is “Black-ish.” The show, which will soon head into its fourth season, will also compete in the Comedy Series, category, while the show’s leading lady Tracee Ellis Ross has earned a nomination for best Comedy Actress, and Anthony Anderson will compete for best Comedy Actor.
Other nominees include Viola Davis for Best Drama Actress in “How To Get Away With Murder,” and Uzo Aduba for Best Supporting Actress In A Drama Series in “Orange Is The New Black.”
