#Roommates, if you’re not trying to spend a bunch of money to watch the #FloydMayweather and #ConorMcGregor fight, you’re in luck! According to ESPN, if you’re not up for paying $100 to watch these two go at it on pay-per-view, you now have the option of watching the fight in movie theaters for a lot less.
Fathom Events and Mayweather Promotions confirmed today they will be partnering up to bring the fight (as well as undercard fights) to movie theaters across the country on August 26th. In a statement about bringing the fight to theaters, Floyd says: “The buzz that my fight against Conor McGregor is getting has been great already, so what better way to watch this larger than life event than on the big screen? We brought boxing back to movie theaters eight years ago and it was a huge success.” He continued: “But this event is on a different level and I’m so glad we are giving fans another way to see all the action. Grab your popcorn because this is a fight no one will want to miss.”
Right now, ticket prices for the ’bout are ranging between $500 to $10k, but limited to just two tickets per household. So roomies, if you want to watch the fight but not break the bank, the movie theaters is the best way to go!
