Roommates, remember back in 2014 when everyone was doing the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge? Well, we’re sad to report that the man who inspired the viral challenge has passed away.
According to TIME, Anthony Senerchia Jr. died on Saturday at age 46, ending his 14-year fight with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge raised $115 million during two months in 2014 to help fund research. “He worked tirelessly to raise awareness for ALS and was directly responsible for the world-renowned Ice bucket challenge,” his obituary read.
We’re sending our thoughts and prayers to his family and friends.
