James Otis, 52, is the man who is responsible for destroying Donald Trump’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame back in October.
Now while many people applauded his efforts, it looks like he has gotten himself into some serious legal trouble, as he has been charged with felony vandalism.
The New York Post reports that the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office announced on Thursday that, Otis is currently facing a maximum of three years in jail or a $10,000 fine.
Otis used a pickaxe and sledgehammer to destroy the star that was awarded to Trump back in 2007, for his work on the reality show, “The Apprentice.” He was arrested and is currently free on bail.
When it comes to his reason for vandalizing the star, he said that he was looking to sell it and give the money to the women who accused Trump of sexual harassment.
He said he was happy to pay for the repairs.
