Lizzo is definitely having yet another eventful week. Earlier this week she made headlines after attending the Lakers and Timberwolves game as she was seen twerking in a thong courtside.
Although many people criticized her for her outfit choice at the basketball game, she clapped back at the haters and told them that their criticism doesn’t bother her as she continues to embrace her body.
Now a team in the NBA is recognizing her for her dance moves, and they have extended an invite for her to dance with their team any time she wants. On Wednesday, the Houston Rocket’s tweeted out to Lizzo and said, “Lizzo, we like your moves! You have an open invite to come home to Houston and dance with official CCD (City Clutch Dancers) on the court anytime.”
She responded and said, “I’ll be there with bells on my booty.”
Needless to say, you can count on Lizzo being the life of the party.
Despite facing backlash earlier this week, things were still on the up for Lizzo after Time Magazine named her “Entertainer of the Year.” As we previously reported, she said, “I’ve been doing positive music for a long-ass time. Then the culture changed. There were a lot of things that weren’t popular but existed, like body positivity, which at first was a form of protest for fat bodies and Black women and has now become a trendy, commercialized thing. Now I’ve seen it reach the mainstream. Suddenly I’m mainstream!”
