After a three-day shutdown, Congress has voted to reopen the government. According to CNN, the Senate and House reached a short-term compromise on Monday that will fund the federal government for another three weeks and fund the Children’s Health Insurance Program for six years.
Once Trump signs the measure into the law, furloughed federal employees will be cleared to go back to work.
Lawmakers failed to pass the spending bill last Friday, which temporally shut down the government. Roommates, we’ll keep you posted on any new updates.
