Disney is definitely pulling out all of the stops for its new streaming service that is scheduled to launch next month. Aside from being able to watch all of our favorite Disney classics, we’ll also be able to see some of our favorite childhood shows rebooted.
One of the shows that will be making a comeback in a reboot is “Lizzie McGuire,” which starred Hilary Duff, Hallie Todd, Robert Carradine, and Jake Thomas. On Thursday, Hilary shared a photo of her and her tv family and said, “???? we are standing in what will soon be the McGuire living room. What’s up fam. We doin this.”
It has been 15 years since the last season of the classic show, and it looked like the McGuire’s were getting back into the swing of things as they prepare for this reboot.
The news of the show’s return was first announced back in August. At the time Hilary said in a social media post, “SURPRISE!!! I’ve been trying to contain this excitement for a loooong time while this has been in the works! I am beyond excited to be home again, back with my girl ♥️…and into her 30’s.”
Another classic Disney show that is scheduled to make a comeback on Disney’s new streaming service is “The Proud Family.” Tommy Davidson revealed the news over the summer, and Kyla Pratt followed up with the suspense last month when she posted a throwback photo of the cast list and said, “Can’t have a remake without the OG’s ????.”
No word on when both reboots will be making its debut on Disney’s new streaming service, Disney Plus, but the anticipation is definitely starting to brew.
Roommates, are you looking forward to the return of these shows?
