So apparently Tara, a student at Texas State, was caught driving drunk and her daddy wasn’t with the bull –he took her car. That didn’t stop her though; she just bought a Barbie Jeep.
He tried to leave her with only her bike as a consequence of her actions. “I told her, the jeep’s mine. Here’s your bike. This is your new form of transportation.”
Of course she was a little upset! Who wants to downgrade from a motor vehicle to a bike in college?
So anyway, she hopped on the web and purchased her very own battery powered Barbie Jeep!
Happy about her purchase, she posted on her social media with the caption: “My dad took my car away because I got in trouble and so I went out and bought my first car.”
Her dad was expecting her to call and try and convince him to give her car back. When she finally did get back in contact with him she told him about her first car purchase.
According to her sister, “she’s a diva,” and doesn’t walk, or sweat. Basically riding a bike is out of the question.
“She’s got to get somewhere, she’s going to figure out how she’s going to get there. She’s stubborn,” she said.
Since she got her Barbie Jeep, photos of her have hit the net left and right of her riding her jeep to class and to do petty errands.
She didn’t expect any of the publicity but her dad is suggesting that other students seeing her riding in her toy car might be warned about the consequences of driving while drunk.
“She is paying and continues paying the penalties for her actions,” he said. “I want her and everyone else – all the kids in college that get out there and do this type of thing — to learn from it and not do it.”
The way her dad’s talking, she may end up driving her toy car for a long time to come.
He said he doesn’t plan on letting her drive a real car again for a very long time.
