The mass shooting that claimed over 20 lives in Uvalde, TX has left the American people weeping once again. As authorities attempt to account for everyone, the families of two 10-year-old girls are among those who fear their children may be dead because they are missing.
The family of Annabelle Guadalupe Rodriguez told Fox News that they hadn’t made contact with her since the shooting. Her father provided photos in hopes that someone would recognize her and she would return home.
Bill Melugin, a Fox reporter, shared the missing child’s photo in a tweet:
The father of 10-year-old Annabelle Guadalupe Rodriguez tells us his daughter is missing following the mass shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, TX, where she is a student. He provided her photo to Texas Rngers. Many parents going through this tonight. @FoxNews
It’s also reported that Eliahana Cruz Torres is missing. The fourth-grader’s grandfather told Fox News he’s worried she is dead.
According to reports, parents of other missing children are being held at a recreation center near the Robb Elementary School, awaiting information about the whereabouts of the elementary students.
As many across the country reacted to this tragic incident, President Biden spoke about the deadliest school shooting since Sandy Hook and asked:
When, in God’s name, are we going to stand up to the gun lobby? When, in God’s name, will we do what we all know in our gut needs to be done?
Speaking full of emotion, the president also asked:
How many scores of little children … witnessed what happened — see their friends die, as if they’re on a battlefield, for God’s sake?
