An openly gay Texas pastor, Jordan Brown, is heated with Whole Foods, after he went to pick his cake up from the bakery and was shocked when he had seen they wrote “Love wins f**.”
According to Bossip, Jordan Brown filed a lawsuit against the popular grocery chain Monday because he said he specifically asked them to write “Love Wins” on the pre frosted cake he purchased Thursday.
Brown feels as though he was discriminated against. And he posted a video online Monday showing off the homophobic cake, and get this #Roommates, the Whole a Foods was still attached!
Now Whole Foods has a different story.
The New York Daily News Reports:
In a statement to the Daily News, Whole Foods denied its bakery employee had any role in writing the bigoted block lettering.
“The team member wrote ‘Love Wins’ at the top of the cake as requested by the guest and that’s exactly how the cake was packaged and sold at the store,” the company said, adding it has a “zero tolerance policy for discrimination.”
Brown’s lawyer called the statement “outrageous.”
“My client doesn’t have blue icing in his house. This is not a hoax. He received the cake this way, and Whole Foods’ response doesn’t help us,” lawyer Austin Kaplan told The News.
It will be interesting to see how this case turns out!
