The world has been watching and waiting to see what Tessica Brown does next to remove Gorilla Glue Adhesive Spray from her hair. Since going viral last week, it was revealed today that she received some relief by having her friend cut off her ponytail, according to TMZ. They were advised that Tessica and her friend used “Goof Off” to remove the Gorilla Glue. According to their website, Goof Off is considered a ‘powerful brand of heavy-duty removers that takes off the tough stuff ordinary removers can’t.’ In addition to photos shared on TMZ’s website, a video also captured the process of cutting Tessica’s ponytail.
Her friend said, “We’ve been using the Acetone every day trying to soften it (her hair) up. It kinda feels like it may have softened up a bit, but we’re going to use more of the Goof Off to cut the ponytail off and try to let her hair breath a little bit.”
Tessica’s friend showed a close-up of her hair after cutting it and advised her hair was still hard, but there was a little opening where it appeared some air can come through. TMZ also reports that they were told Tessica is reportedly planning to fly to Los Angeles to meet with a Beverly Hills doctor who says he can remove the rest of the glue from her hair.
As we reported yesterday, Gorilla Glue broke their silence and released a statement on their Twitter account regarding the matter. It stated, “We are aware of the situation, and we are very sorry to hear about the unfortunate incident that Miss Brown experienced using our Spray Adhesive on her hair. This is a unique situation because this product is not indicated for use in or on hair as it is considered permanent. Our Spray Adhesive states in the warning label, “Do not swallow. Do not get in eyes, on the skin or on clothing…”
Let’s continue to send Tessica positive vibes as she continues her journey to remove the remaining glue from her hair.
