Tessa Thompson Confirms That Michael B. Jordan Will Be Directing ‘Creed III’

It looks like the Creed saga will definitely be moving forward, and it has been confirmed that the film’s leading man has landed the role of director for the upcoming film. While promoting her current film, Tessa Thompson confirmed to MTV News that Michael B. Jordan will be directing “Creed III.” When asked about it, she said, “He is directing the next Creed.”

Tessa continued to speak about what it’s going to be like starring opposite MBJ in the film, while also taking direction from him. “It’s going to be ammo, I think, for me when he is engaging with me as a director. I’m just going to tell him to dial down the sexiness,” as she referenced to his current title of the “Sexiest Man Alive.”

As many of you know, the first “Creed” film was directed by Ryan Coogler, and the second film was directed by Steven Caple Jr. While, continuing to talk about the upcoming film, Tessa also mentioned that the next film will not start filming until later in the year.

Michael B. Jordan has been working to not only build up his resume when it comes to being on screen but also behind the scenes as well, through his Outlier Society company. As previously reported, MBJ is also on board to produce D.C.’s “Static Shock” film. Other credits include Netflix’s “Raising Dion,” and also the box office hit “Just Mercy.”
