A mother who’s child attends Stewart Creek High School in Tennessee, was scared for her sons safety when she learned they were allowing the kids to wear confederate flag shirts to class.
Her ninth grade son came home from school and told her what was happening, she also saw it for herself when she dropped him at school and saw students flying the flag from their trucks.
She told the news “I felt sad and hurt. I don’t think this is the appropriate place for my child to be subjected to this.”
News 2 ended up contacting the Rutherford County School District and the reply was “As a school district, we can’t prohibit such items unless it is causing a disturbance at the school.”
What are your thoughts on this?
