Chile, not even our cereal is safe anymore! A while back, a #Tennessee man pleaded guilty to urinating on a #Kellogg’s cereal conveyor belt at one of their facilities located in #Memphis.
Well now, 49-year-old Gregory Stanton has finally been sentenced for the crime. The U.S. attorney’s office in Memphis announced that he will be serving 10 months in federal prison for tampering with consumer products, according to @ap.
An indictment says Stanton was a contract worker at that Kellogg’s plant in April 2014 when he recorded a video of himself urinating into a bucket and then dumping the contents into the #RaisinBran production line. He also recorded himself urinating into a production line a month later.
He didn’t actually post the videos on the internet until 2016.
Law enforcement and the Food & Drug Administration investigated the incident.
Kellogg’s officials said in a statement that they were pleased Stanton was “brought to justice.”
I know working in food service can be a hard job, but I don’t know why these workers act up and take it out on the consumers.
And trust, he is not the only one.
Recently we reported another disturbing incident that took place at a Florida Wendy’s restaurant.
Wendy’s and state officials were investigating a former employee who took a bath in the restaurant’s kitchen sink and the whole ordeal was caught on video.
The owners had this to say: “We are taking this incident seriously and it is obviously totally unacceptable. This was a prank by a person who no longer works at this restaurant, and who clearly did not use good judgment. We are taking this opportunity to reinforce our very strict quality procedures with our restaurant team.”
State officials also had to investigate the incident but it looks like it was an isolated one.
Roommates, what are your thoughts? Let us know!
