Tekashi 6ix9ine’s sentencing hearing is scheduled for next week, and his mother and bodyguard are the latest people to pen letters to his judge with hopes that he’ll receive a lighter sentence.
According to TMZ, 6ix9ine’s mother and bodyguard are among the nearly 30 people who have submitted letters to Judge Paul Engelmayer asking for leniency in his sentencing. In the letters obtained by the site, his mother reportedly talks about how good of a person he is, and says he’s not the person he’s been portrayed as in the media.
In the letter, she reportedly said him being locked up is “injustice” because his family depends on him for emotional and financial support. His bodyguard Sam Sprouse reportedly said in his letter that 6ix9ine is “one of the most amazingly talented, surprisingly humble and seemingly most misunderstood kid.”
He continued to promise that he would take 6ix9ine under his wing and place him around the right influences as he “stays on a path of redemption.”
6ix9ine’s girlfriend Jade and his brother were also among the people to write letters to the judge as well.
As we previously reported, Tekashi, wrote an apology letter to the judge as he recounted everything that landed him in his current position behind bars.
Roommates, what are your thoughts?
