Roommates, Tekashi 69’s testimony may be enough for him to regain his freedom, but it looks like he may not be looking for anymore help from the authorities, and does not want to go into witness protection.
According to TMZ, Tekashi could be looking to reject the government’s offer to have him placed in a witness protection program once he’s a free man again. A source close to the situation says Tekashi is looking forward to continuing his life of fame, and plans to hire 24/7 security.
Sounds like a death wish if you ask the average person, as Tekashi took the stand for three days giving detail about his role as a Trey Nine Blood. As we previously reported, Tekashi pointed fingers, identified gang members and other celebs, and gave detail about their illegal activity.
Although Tekashi is aware the Trey Nine Bloods could be coming for him, and any body else he may have angered within testimony, he reportedly has a well-though put plan to keep himself and his family safe. Sources say he plans to hire around the clock security.
The source says Tekashi still has some money left after his arrest, which he will use to pay for said security. He also is planning to get his music career back off the ground again once he’s out.
Tekashi said on the stand he believes he’ll be out as early as next year, which could mean the feds cut him a great deal in exchange for his testimony. He was previously facing a minimum sentence of 47 years before agreeing to fully cooperate with prosecutors.
So far, Tekashi’s manager Shotti has been taken into custody, and he has dropped numerous other names while on the stand. Additionally, his former driver Jorge Rivera recently testified to becoming an informant for the government after being detained by ICE.
A ruling has not yet been made in Tekashi’s trial, so stay with us for updates Roomies.
