Three men are in police custody following the assault of Tekashi 6ix9ine on March 21 in South Florida. Viral clips showed two bald men kicking, punching, and forcibly sitting Tekashi’s body up inside an L.A. Fitness. Meanwhile, another man recorded the altercation.
Police arrested Rafael Medina Jr., 43, Octavious Medina, 23, and Anthony Maldonado, 25, on Thursday (March 30), according to jail records reviewed by The Shade Room. All three men are charged with robbery–no firearm or weapon and battery–touch or strike. Police are holding them at Palm Beach County jail with records showing zero bonds.

Following the assault, the rapper’s lawyer told TMZ that the attack was unexpected while 6ix9ine had no security. There are a few viral clips of the beatdown, but one, seen below, shows four men inside a bathroom. One man records as two bald men deliver hits to Tekashi’s head and body, while another in the mirror’s reflection seemingly picks something up from the floor twice and exits the bathroom.

In comparison to their mugshots, it appears that the two men delivering the hits are allegedly Rafael and Octavious, while Anthony is allegedly the person who leaves the bathroom. The man recording remains unknown.

Though Tekashi walked out of the bathroom, he was later treated at a hospital for non-life-threatening wounds. In a post-assault video by someone claiming to be “a fan,” Tekashi’s face appears bloody.
Rafael, Octavious, and Anthony’s motives for the attack haven’t been confirmed by police as of Friday. However, in the video, one of the assailants suggests physical violence is the treatment Tekashi should’ve gotten.
“Yo what the f**k, f**k n***a, that’s how they suppose to treat yo b***h a**,” stated one man while stomping Tekashi’s side. “Old Mickey Mouse clown a** n***a.”
Text on one viral video further suggests the assault could be linked to the conditions of the rapper’s early prison release in 2020. But, it’s not yet confirmed that the men themselves or the unidentified person who recorded the attack up-close wrote the text.
“King Sh*t, we caught 6is9ine slipping f**k a rat ADR not in our hood,” one caption said. “Not in the south you rat b***h got his a**.”
