National correspondent for NBC, Tamron Hall, has just been pulled from fill in anchor slot on “NBC Nightly News” due to her relationship with Prince. This comes as news hit that Prince’s actual cause of death was an opioid overdose.
A source told Page Six, “Tamron and NBC News execs discussed it and decided together it was best for her to not fill in [Thursday or Friday]. She’s been open about her friendship with Prince, so for her, this is more than a news story. She’ll fill in again soon.”
In the past, Hall has shed some light on her times she spoke with Prince right before he passed stating that he “didn’t sound sick,” and Prince’s death was something she “never imagined.”
She apparently also told friends that she had never seen the late Purple Rain singer use drugs which created more of a shock when his autopsy leaked.
There is no word on if the two were actually a couple, but she was the cover art to one of Prince’s songs, “If I Could Get Your Attention.”
