#Roommates, last season on VH1’s hit reality series “Basketball Wives,” we saw the departure of one of the most popular and longest-running cast members, as Tami Roman officially said goodbye to the show. Now, in a recent interview, she’s giving her honest opinion about the current state of her friendship with Shaunie O’Neal—and it’s not pretty.
Tami Roman has been responsible for some of the most talked about moments in all of “Basketball Wives” history, which is why many fans were sad to see her leave the show. However, she’s on to bigger and better things these days mostly in the form of acting, but she did take the time out recently to speak a bit on her old show…specifically Shaunie O’Neal.
During a recent interview, Tami was asked by host Keyshia Cole on “Fox Soul,” what is the current state of her friendship with Shaunie and this was her response:
“I thought in my mind that we were close. I thought we had a camaraderie and a sisterhood and a mutual respect for each other. I found out over the past three seasons that the lack of friendship was shown rather than the sisterhood as it pertained to me, which was unfortunate because I cared for Shaunie.”
She then alluded to rival Evelyn Lozada being the reason for the breakdown of their friendship, saying:
“The whole dynamic changed. And for me it was just not a happy place to be once she returned. And this is no secret. She doesn’t like me, she has never liked me, I tried to be friends, and so now I’ve accepted that she doesn’t like me, so now I don’t like you. I tried numerous times. I really truly did, and to find out that there were a lot of workings going on behind the scenes and emails being sent and negative, derogatory things being said about my health and my miscarriages all the way up to the network executives, I felt like at that point, that was crossing a line for me. So there was no way we could have ever worked together, for me.”
We’re sure that Evelyn will be responding to Tami’s comments sooner rather than later.
Roommates, what are your thoughts on this?
