Details On Tabitha Brown & Chance’s 20th Anniversary Celebration
As previously reported, the couple celebrated their 20th anniversary with an intimate photoshoot in 2023.
Tab and Chance told PEOPLE that they dropped the idea of a vow renewal and decided to go the “simple” route.
“…we realized ‘Wait, we’re doing this for everybody else and not for us,'” she told the outlet.“And us, we want simple things, [it] make us happy being together, traveling together, going somewhere we both enjoy, but also celebrating our love in a beautiful photo shoot and having that memory.”
“It was almost like we were about to get married,” Tab added. “We both kind of got emotional.”
Tab and Chance first dated in middle school but broke up before entering high school. She shared that her mother, who passed in 2007 after an ALS diagnosis, always said Chance would be her husband. The Emmy winner said she thought her mom was “weird” for making such claims but she was right in the end.
After graduation, the pair attended separate colleges. Tabitha said, “I woke up in the middle of the night one night and he was the only person I could think about.” She contacted him and the rest was history.
In the modified words of André 3000, “Thanks [Tab and Chance] for sticking together ’cause we don’t know how.”
Happy 21 years to the happy couple!
